84 Bronco, no heat selection. Truck was originally AC

We cannot select the defrost option on this truck. Owner reports to me that the heat controls etc aren't the same as his 1982 F150.

Difference probably lies in the fact the Bronco was originally equipped with AC, which is now long gone.

My assumption is that there are vacuum operated controls in trucks with AC, and that we have some plumbing to do.

Does anyone have any experience with this? I'm going to look at it today, but not sure what I'll find or what I can do without vacuum diagrams, etc.

Maybe I'm wrong!

Thanks

after seeing the truck, someone hacked and slashed vacuum lines and such away, although I see two dashpots and some kind of accumulator, so I'm assuming all is not lost, just need a vacuum diagram.

I have a similar problem with my 84 bronco. Basically, as far as the heater controls are concerned, it is always on norm a/c. So i have no defrost, no floor heat, and the compressor is always running. If you find a diagram and get it figured out, i would be greatly appreciative with the answers to this.
