I give up!!

I give up. I have searched the forums and found info about vacuum leaks. When I turn on the Max AC it goes to defrost. When I hit the floor selection it goes to the floor. When I hit vent floor, it goes to vent floor. When I hit vent, it goes to the vent (dash). When I hit max AC after I hit vent, it goes to the dash vents, but as soon as I hit the gas pedal it goes to defrost. I have looked for hours to find a vacuum leak. Can't find one. All the vacuum lines are hooked up. All the buttons work on the ac control unit, except max AC and I don't know what to do.... Any suggestions??

thanks, I did keep searching and found a thread that said pull the battery and look behind it, so I did and I found a black vacuum line that wasn't connected to anything in between the battery and firewall, but there is nothing for it to connect to. Should I block it off??

you have a vacuum leak. Good place to look is at the firewall infront of the glove box. Look at the TEE and the little black lines, next look at the battery box area. If you cant find a place to connect an open line, plug it. Make sure the canister is connected to a vacuum line.. it stores the vacuum for use when you stomp on the throttle.... when all else failes, check the control **** with 4-5 vacuum hoses on the back (dash control).
