JUST BOUGHT 04 150 LARIAT IN SHOP ALREADY
I just purchased it 3 weeks ago its a 04 lariat with 125000 miles truck looks mint but 4x4 would engage while going 30 mph and wow what a grinding noise. Did I make a horrible mistake ? paid 13k for it

It sounds like an IWE solenoid.

stuff happens man. but yeah, the IWE is pretty easy to correct. just don't wait to fix it. letting the problem go for awhile can make it more expensive to fix.
otherwise, enjoy the truck. I really miss my old 2006 FX4
