Replacing Engine
Hey, really hate to have to ask. I was wondering if anyone on here might know what the approx. shop time would be for replacing engine, in a '06-- F150 FX 4 with a 5.4 I am buying a Ford rebuilt. It is supposed to have sparkplugs, oilpan,and water pump. So I will still have to swap a pretty good bunch of stuff. Thanks in advance.

I just had mine replaced with a ford crate 5.4 engine at the dealer. $6500 & 100k mile warranty. I've run it now for about 5k miles. Mostly at speeds I would get in trouble for writing down.
I can't say it was the best option, but I do plan on keeping the truck for another 5+ years. I figured $6,500 was better than $35k + for a new one.
I think it took them about a week to rip and replace.

Ticking. Valve Keeper gave way. Dropped the valve into the cylinder.
