Check the TCC solenoid circuit for the correct resistances in the proper places.
You have one of the following: an open TCC solenoid, open internal transmission harness, bad connector at the transmission, an open in the vehicle harness, or a faulty PCM.
I'd start by unplugging the connector at the transmission and checking the resistance of the TCC solenoid and internal harness in one operation. I'd have to look up the value, but it's going to be somewhere between 10 and 50 ohms, most likely.
Finally, got around to taking her into the shop. The tech checked for codes. He asked was the OD light flashing on the gear selector. I said no. He asked how long did the check engine light stay out when it was last cleared. I said 3-4 days. We also went on a test drive while he was taking a snapshot with his scanner. While out on the test drive he pointed out how the 1-2 shift was a little slow and the 3-4 shift dragged on for a long time. I explained how the 1-2 shift is like that in the morning on the first start up, but it gets better as the trans warms up. He suggest due to the number of orig. miles (142,000) I have, he would recommend an overhaul. Also, I did a trans flush and filter change last summer. The trans overhaul would cost $1800? I'm going out for a second opinion right now at AAMCO. What do you think about this first guy's suggestion?
