will 1978 np-435\205--if separated--fit a 77 divoraced hiboy--f250
If I separate an 78 np-435\205 setup will they as single pieces boltup to my existing mouunts in a 1977 f250 hiboy---in the divoraced situation??It looks like to me that the np-435 as the basic tranny would boltup as a direct replacement for my existing t-18 tranny that I have now----and that the np205 should be a direct replacement for the 205 that is in my truck currently----please advise , thanks fd

To the best of my knowledge, married transfer cases are ment to be used married to a transmission (yoke vice female input splines). However, you MIGHT be able to modify it to work for your application. Or you can buy a divorced one from somewhere. Now, if you have a bad divorced one and a good married one, most of the parts are interchangeable short of the input and output splines.
