what size wheels are you guys running?

darksider question:
i'm wondering what size wheels everyone is running up front and back. widths too, and offset if you know it.

i've finally got enuf money saved to get my wheels, but i dont know what i'm really in for, and what looks good(good to a darksider anyway lol)
i'm wanting to run 18x8's up front and 20x10's in the back,
i've narrowed my sellection down to foose nitrous legends(i know its a common wheel, but there not common here so...) i've talked to a few shops and its like talking to my 2 year old.

so anybody running 18's or bigger on their truck?
if so, post some pics!!

I am running 18x7 in the front and 20x10 in the rear.

I ordered (thru discount tire) a set of Foose Nitrous II wheels. they came in and were pitted on the spokes on 3 of 4 wheels.. we went round and round with the manufacturer, and they finally said this is the best you can get with cast wheels.. (BS..)..

Discount was with me all the way, and we ordered another set from Boze Alloys, Boze Alloys - Custom billet wheels and forged wheels, the Doons wheel.

here they are on my truck.. I am REALLY pleased..

these are machined, one set at a time.. I had them clear coated to help keep the shine, and not have to re-polish them
this is volare front end, and ford/lincoln 8.8 rear (on airbags)..

thanks so much sam, thats just what i needed to hear.
i think i'm not gonna go with foose, your the third person to tell me about a bad experience, so i dont even want to take the chance on a bad deal now.
i've been browsing around the boze site, and theres a few wheels i like(i wont buy the doons lol)
i guess i dont have as much to worry about than i thought, now that i see 18's/20's on another ford, even though i'm running a camaro clip, i think ill have no problem making this setup work on my 52. thanks again sam. i'm gonna measure my offsets and make up my mind on wheels(again)

also... what size tires are you running?

http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoTireMath.dos

wow, that helped alot, i've got some mickey thompsons in the back right now, and if i put 20's on the back there will be a 3 inch difference in size!! that means the truck will actually set 1.5 inches lower when the rims are on. thats good news to me lol. thanks again sam

Sam , did the 10in. wheels fit without any bed mods or rearend narrowing?

BTW, I have always thought you have one of the most beautiful trucks I have seen bar none.

I added the 3in wider fenders too, and pushed the wheels out as far as I could. the 10in rims will NOT fit under the standard fenders without tubs.

I am close enough (1/4in) to the bed wall that some tub would have been required.

thanks on the feedback..

hey sam, do you know how much room you have between your wheel and fender?
i still have my stock fenders, dont want to widen them, but i dont care to tub the inside a bit.
i currently have mickey thompson 28x10.50 on a 15' rim, and there is 3/4 inch between the fender and tire. there is a 2 inch gap on the inside.

since mine is a 52, and sams is a 55(right?), does anyone know if the distance between the bed wall and inner fender is the same?
i've did some quick measuring and it seams like it will work. i might have to run a 295/35/20 though, i want the tire to slightly hang over the rim, and judging by the tire calculater sam posted, i think it will.

if anyone has anykind of measurements i might need, or anything at all, let me know, please, i dont want to be stuck with rims that dont fit, and i'm trying to have them on the truck before PF f100 run. (and hopefully sale the Mickey Thompsons) thanks in advance for any info.

I have about 3/4 of an inch between wheel and inner edge of fender at the wheel opening..

good luck on the 'before' PF.. what with the trials an tribulations, it took me 9 months to get my wheels.. 6 weeks of that from Boze. (they said 3, but ....)

I thought the stock wheel well depth on my 55 was 11inches bed wall ot fender lip.. if you rolled the lip down, you could get another 3/4 inch.
