I have read many times the word "Darksider". First I took it as someone who, for instance, put a Chevy 350 in our F100s. Today I read somone refer to themselves as a Darksider in the fab phase of the 56 crew cab. So, I am not sure if a Darksider is a person that uses parts in their build that are not Ford, chops up an F100 to a different shape or if you build different from original parts/design.
Just starting this thread your a Darksider!!! Darksider is usually a person that modifies any part of their truck, anything that is not stock is called darksiding.as for installing a chevy 350, thats just plain Evil!!!

This is for my own education. I love them all.
Thanks,

if your're not restoring to stock, then you have slipped over to the darkside..
I will confess to being a greysider. Here is how I define the terms:
Darksider - Changes that most car people find obvious, even if they don't know very much about the vehicle. Good examples are wheel changes, engine changes, chop / channel / section, suspension changes, tuck & roll interior, etc.
Greysider - changes that only people who know a lot about the vehicle notice. Good examples are radial tires, halogen bulbs in stock sockets, 12V (if done well), axle ratio swaps (in the stock or a similar looking axle), etc.
Hmmm.... greysider....darksider.... let's see.... if you look it up in the dictionary you might just find a pic of my truck So far the only thing that hasn't been modified is the sheetmetal, and that's only because I'm having too much fun driving it as is to tear it apart for bodywork
