95bronco rear window wiring

hi,, can any of you tell me the right way to test my power rear window motor an the wires to it, the connection "unpluged" only lites the test lite when the dash buttons in the window down position. the fueses an switch test good with a ohm meter ,,, need some help on this oneany ideas or anything else that,ll help this repair,, the window is in the up position , thanks

With the motor disconnected supply power to the motor with an ammeter connected in series, motor should operate and not draw over 4 amps.

The fueses are 14 25A and 12 25A.

It might be that the tailgate latches are not closing enough to overcome the safety mechanisms.

Take the inside panel off to access the connections inside the tailgate, there you can test for continuity in the wires.

end gate window

thanks for your help, i tried that test finaly ......... tracked it down to the top switch where you would open it with the key from the outside, that was all rusty an wrecked an shorted wires so its bypassed for now. ill need a whole new mechinsim .. thanks agin for responding
