Hey guys I need some help with a part. We are putting a 50 model 226 flathead in dads 46 truck. The 46 model 226 had a long shaft water pump on it and the 50 model has the short shaft water pump on it. Do any of you guys have one you would want to sale. It should be around 1 1/4" deep. The one I have is 2" deep. So I'm at a stand still on this. I have looked on ebay and fordbarn with no luck so far. If any of you would have a extra one to sale or know where I could get one I would be greatful. Leave me a PM or post here and I will get back with you. Thanks Scott
As you probably know your Dad's 226 was the "G" Engine designation, and in 47 it Became the "H" designation.
Have you tried getting one from a Junk Yard, or put an ad on the Ford Barn or on this site for one?
They should be quite a few around, as I have seen a lot of 6 Cyl fords in the U.S.A.
Here in Canada we only had the V8, up until the early 1950s.
