02' Explorer, how to check tranny fluid?

As the manual states, there is no dipstick. It is the auto version and has 108k on it, so im sure it needs checked or changed. I would like to know how you get to it, I looked under it when I did the engine oil and could not see anything obvious.

No problem. We just bought an 04 Explorer and I've been trying to do some reading on it and learn what I can. This I remembered reading about recently and it was an easy find. Just curious, did the Ford geniuses put a trans dipstick in again starting with the 05 MY? Anyone know? What is the reason for the lack of one in the few years up to at least 04?
