Hi I am a new member here and wondering what a 1943 Ford 2 ton truck would be worth. It was restored about 10 years ago and has been sitting in a garage ever since. It is in very good condition, very close to show quality, just needs to be finished. The truck is from Canada as I understand it. It has no bed on the back and is Dual wheel and Dual gear axle. With a new 6v battery and some fresh fuel we were able to fire it up today and drive it around the block a few times, WHAT A TRIP! I am looking for any info I can get as the owner needs the space and is willing to sell it for a price that seems very reasonable to me.
You sort of answer your own question. If the price seems reasonable to you and the owner is ready to sell. It really doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.
There will always be someone who says the price is too high or you could do better, but at the end of the day, it's all up to you.
Well,
Thanks for the reply, I didn't end up buying the truck. I was considering finishing it and flipping it for a small profit. It is still sitting there with the new battery and fresh gas. For the right person looking to make a fine car carrier or stakebody, I think it's a very good deal at 4k. There is well over 10k invested.
