lifted or fast

Well im torn between going fast or lifting 4 inches with 35's,Im going to have my fuel system and turbo put on within the next couple weeks at Spartan diesel! My question is, should i just stick with getting my truck in the low to mid 12's in a 1/4 then start the lift, subs, tires all that good stuff ,or should i just go straight out performance, i know its my decision in the end, but the company that pays for my truck and gas is getting kind of ancy to throw the payment on me if i break it!(I definatley dont want to pay for those if i dont have to)
In all actuality how much would the lift and tires take of my ET

I've asked this question for a long time and never really gotten a satisfactory answer. I guess it depends on what method you use to lower it. I know there are airbag systems out, but I don't know if that's a good way or not.

there is no reason not to do both my friend. i am a drag racer and an avid off roader.

i have a 6" lift and 35" tires. i also have upgrades for performance.
there are NUMEROUS 4wd superduties with 35" tires and 12-13second timeslips.

i enjoy being lifted and going everywhere off road, and still being able to lay down over 500 at the dyno.

I like to lift these trucks. If you do lift I would recommend a good suspension lift not just heigth. I went with a 4 & 1/2 inch DR (Donahoe Racing), It comes with Bilstein shocks and I run Nitto 35's. The suspension is much better than stock with twice the travel. It's high, but not so high that you can't off road. I've been running this for almost 3 years and still love it.

how are all you guys running 35's with only a small lift like that ??

i have a 6" lift and still had to trim my bumper valence to keep the tires from rubbing when i'm full lock and articulating off road...with 35's

I'm running a Bilstein 2.25" leveling kit and 35's with no problems. I've had it off road several times and no rubbing issues at all.

With all of the trees on my place I didn't want to lift it any more than necessary. Oak branches are murder on sheet metal!
