This is the only size NAPA had for my heater hose T. The big part fits my 5/8 hose perfect but the small part appears too small. Should I keep looking or just clamp the crap out of the hose that goes over the small end. It just doesn't fit snug.
I can't believe I forgot this but I've just been so busy with other things as well. O.K. when you are facing the truck from the front which heater hose goes from firewall directly into water pump? Is it the one on left or right when coming out of firewall? Sorry guys!
The hose on the your right as your looking at it from the front goes to the water pump.
Thanks! I just wasn't sure. I'm gonna have to find the right T because this one ain't gonna work, I can just tell. I can't believe these things are so hard to find!
You need 5/8" on the left and right(direction is basedon your picture) and 1/2" on the bottom. Was your leak due to a broke T? You can re-use the existing if it is not broke. You could also make a T using a 3/4" T fitting, two 5/8" hose barb fittings, and one 1/2" hose barb. fitting.

The original T is not broken and didn't leak but just looks old and worn. I just posted about how I could not find anyone that has the correct size T. Your right, it's 5/8 on left and right direction and 1/2 on the bottom. So I need a 3/4 along with the two 5/8s and 1/2 barbs to make one?
This sounds like a good idea. If you go this route don't forget to put Teflon tape on the threads. I would hate to hear that it still leaked after your all done.

The "3/4" T-fitting is the piece the hose fittings would thread into. These parts can be had at any hardware or home center like Home Depot or Lowes. I am saying to use a 3/4 T fitting because it is a standard size and it is large enough to meet or exceeed the largest hose connect for flow capacity.
I would use brass hose barbs and is I could locate one, a brass T fitting. One made of blak iron would work as well.
