electric vs mechanical

i am building a 6.6L 400 for my 66 F100. its not going to be any type of racing or high performance application just a show truck/weekend driver. my question is should i upgrade to an electric fuel pump or stay with the factory style mechanical one?

There is nothing wrong with a mechanical pump. 66 F100 used a mechanical pump.

For simplicity stick with the mechanical.

An electric sometimes makes for quicker starts if the vehicle has not been started for a long time etc.
