The PO put post 66 tailights in our 66 and it has the capacity for backup lights. Our truck also has a 73 C6 and so I believe has the back-up light neutral safety switch on the tranny. Can anyone point me to a wiring diagram that would show the set up? My 66 diagram of course does not have backup lights diagrammed. Thanks for the help
Bill, what would that column mounted NSS look like? Never noticed anything unusual on the column and I have NSS function. WOuld the backup lights work from that NSS switch. There is definitely a switch of some sort on the passenger side of the C6. This truck is a real frankenstein. The C6 could be a later model.
1967 was the first year that backup lights were available for trucks, Bronco's and Econolines.
1967/72 F100/350 Styleside tail lamps that have the backup lamp lenses encompassed within the tail lamp lenses can be installed in 1964/66 F100/250 2WD & 1966 F100 4WD Stylesides.
The NSS selector lever attaches to the shift tube thru a hole in the steering column shroud. Its knife blade end fits into the NSS.
The lever is the same 1965/77 F100/350, so if your truck has an A/T, it's already present.
