"G" Series Engine for '42-47

The G isn't as popular as the later H series. May also want to check Hemmings for some leads. My 6 cyl '46 has a '49 H series in it, they are a drop in, no problem. Also check out anybody who is street rodding a '41-'47 Ford car, those have the same engines as the trucks.
