Axle I.D. Help..
I posted over in the '67-"72 forum also..I was told this is a old ford dually axle...Any thoughts or Ideas about that..Thanks.

This is something verry unique if it is a Ford axel. Maybe something off of a Ford Bus or something, but I personaly havent seen a Ford rearend that had bolts on the backside. To me it looks like a chevy rearend, I am not saying positivly that it is though, I just dont think it is a Ford. I will be watching this string to see what other people think.

It's an old Eaton axle. There were two models: HO-52 and HO-72, with the main difference being the size of the brakes. These axles were common in the older Chevy trucks... I'm not sure if they were in Fords or not. The axle is very strong, but parts are limited and hard to find.
