intake leaking vacuum

i got this motor from a wrecked car and it turns out to be a rebuilt one. i think the block has been milled because i put the stock heads that i used before on it and had to use rocker shims to get it to work. i put some ported redone heads that were shaved somewhere between .004 and .008 on the same block and used shims but now can not get the intake to seal. i am leaking vacuum through the water passages and throughout the intake mating surfaces. there is .100 of clearance between the intake and the block. i put plastigauge on the intake and heads and it was wavy when i took the intake back off. i stacked 3 sets of gaskets and tried that and it just made better but definately still leaking bad. it won't run worth a crap. i guess i am going to have to take the motor out and send it to a shop. anybody have any input about this. it's an 5.0 roller.

is anything else leaking? the heads or anything? It seems like somethings out of place. If the intake isn't seating far enough down then it's getting held up be the heads. This would mean either the intake and engine aren't compatable, or there's something put on wrong. Could be a lousy bunch of machining like you think too, but I'd make sure all the fit is right, and that there's nothing differend about the motor and heads and intake that you're missing.

Simple problem- When you mill heads and blocks the intake has to be milled to match. Take the engine and the intake to a machinist.

yes that is what i am going to do. i pulled it out again last night. have you noticed if your intake bolts go through the middle of the intake holes. because mine line up and screw in easily but they are now rubbing the inner part of the intake holes and making there own threads in the intake bolt holes now. the old heads i had on this motor worked fine and so did the same intake.
