I was on the e-way merging on, and there was a semi coming so i put it to the floor and i glanced at my speedometer and the check engine light flashed once. It will flash periodically when it is under heavy accelleration on the expressway (like from 55mph to 70mph) and it is worring me....any suggestions are great..i am slowly learning about diesels so bear with me
It has a 3.5" straight pipe with a 5" tip on it
I used an actron code scanner that is for OBD-II vehicles that i got from advance auto parts
and it has a 85hp chip that you plug in under the drivers side dash in a metal box...it doesnt have a brand name on it but it is blue
hope this helps...and i feel like an idiot because of my ignorance to diesel engines
Well here is my 2 cents, I had a chip in my truck and when i put my foot into it when i had a load the check engine light would come on like a flicker. I believe that I have read that the chip will and may allow the turbo to bulid more pressure than the MAP is able to read, or over boost, I think that any thing over 16psi will cause a check engine light. If this is the fact then I would not worry about it too much, I think there is a mod where you can try and bypass the senser and see it that is the problem. I am not a pro, and only going off of things that i have read on this web page, and my have miss typed the info on the turbo pressure. But what you have described seems like a post that i have read in the past.
