Ebay wheels/tires package??
If so. were you happy with the product or do you have comments or opinions about what you think of this deal? Are these blemished wheels?
I know the tires are probrably to small being I have a 4 wheel drive.
Your thought, comments or advice are appreciated.

I bought a set of Lariat wheels on Ebay. They were new, a couple had some marks on them, but nothing major. What I've noticed though, and I don't know if you're looking at factory wheels or not.... is that guys have gotten much better deals at the dealership buying takeoffs. I wish now I'd have checked there first since I paid $325 total for my wheels/centercaps and some guys have gotten wheels and tires for barely any more and in some cases I've read for less.
btiwheels was the seller for mine.
I have bought two sets of Lariat wheels, one 2004 with under a 1000 miles and one 2005 set with under 20 miles, each time was 300 bucks, including caps and lug nuts.
I turned down at 04 set with 5000 for 200, and another set of 05 with 8000 for 300.
Seems to be the going rate. I have a left over set of 04 Lariat with perfect rims, two little marks on the caps, and 6k miles on them, and I will be lucky to get 225 for them.
In plain language E-bay is too high, unless you live 200 miles from a city.

Most areas in the USA (every area, I think) has a free 'newspaper' or 'penny saver' or Recycler' or Green Sheet' etc. These are the ones local to my town.
I have picked up 'nickel savers' 'yellow sheets' 'bargain hunter' etc. etc. in every town I have ever visited. That's a lot of towns in 50+ years...
Usually found in front of the 7-11, Circle K, Stop and Shop, Stop and Go, Mini-Mart places.
Also popular around laundrmats, liquer stores, etc.
They feature cheap ads, usually run till it sells. Often free ads for private parties.
E-bay is slowly displacing them, but still only putting a ding in their circulation.

That's less than what I paid and I don't even have tires for mine. That's what I get though for not looking around first.

Nice rims, tires, for 1600 bucks. Very pretty, but 20 inch rims do cost you on the ride/braking side. Wouldn't ever take those off road, and I mean dirt or gravel. They are also a little on the sports car not truck side but if your truck is a cruiser, then that wouldn't matter.
I have xgt mich on my wife's ETC and they are darn nice tires, good riding, and great on corners.
The vendor looks very legit. a 99.5 satisfaction with 15000 sales is VERY good.

Still, they are purty. And I would trust that vendor. Price the tires and wheels seperately through Tirerack.com to be sure of how good the bargain is.
Another trick that works, print out the e-bay ad, the whole page, and take it to several local tire/wheel shops. See if they will beat it. Some will. Half the profit is better than no profit for about 50% of places.
Good luck

I wasn’t referring to the rim diameter at all, it was the fact that these are street tires with a vengeance.
Actually sports car tires. They might do fine in loose sand, but no rocks, please.
Also, and this is the biggie, you wouldn’t want to take those rims in the gravel. Very much a boulevard set of very pretty rims.
I was actually only referring to the rim and tire combo in the ad, not 20 inch tires or rims in general.
Although I do note that in my experience, seconded by most off roaders (I live in a town where almost half the people have a buggy, 4x4, atv or dirt bike) less rim and more sidewall performs better off the pavement.
Again, not that it matters, the rims/tires he was looking at were very much on road only.
