YES!....come on guys you cant buy this one i have been looking for one of theese for along time and i am not rich like you 40 year old guys....thanks for showing them..!
if yall have to buy this one any one know where i can get another one..?
I would think you could call around to some salvage yards, might have to find one that deals with medium and heavy duty trucks though. The ebay one looks a little rusty, seems like you could fine a cleaner one for not a whole lot more money.
There is also an aftermarket billet piece advertised in the back of the truck mags, but that would be quite abit more I'd think.
i walked around 3 junk yards today here in south east iowa, wore the kids out looking at trucks, didnt find a single thing, but hey it beat mowing the yard lol
I think I know where a couple are. I looked at a 76 the other day and was wondering if they are the same in the trucks with the 73-79 style cab. They look the same but you never know.
i keep looking, i found one i thought in a old stub nose big ford truck, but it was like a outie and not a inie, if you understand what i mean. i keep going from junk yard to junk yard, i will find one
You should try looking in a "Bus and Truck" salvage yard. I get a lot of my parts at one of these yards (they have a lot of old pickups too), and they have a pile of old Ford trucks (F-600, etc) with these clusters.
By the way, I would be more than willing to let you know where this place is, but they don't ship, and its kind of a "pick your part" deal when it comes to this old stuff, and I don't think most of you are willing to drive up to South Dakota for one of these, sorry...
P.S. I think they are the same up to 79 for these clusters...
To find one of these chrome ones you need to be looking in 73-79 f-500 and up.I've never seen a chrome one on a 67-72, but that don't mean they didn't make them.It is real hard to find one without rust on it. The chrome is thin. The good thing is that it is chrome under the black paint, and you can reverse the chrome and painted parts to cover most of it.If you want a really nice one go with the older painted ones and get it chromed.
Johnny
moonley why dont you go and get some of these, i am sure a few other FTEers and myself would not minding paying you for your time and shipping of course.
i would like a black one if you can get any. i live in iowa but on the wrong side of the state for going searching in SD. We got a great place in pella iowa that is just trucks, i need to get up there, it is only 103 miles up there from here
moonley, what town are you from? I was born and raised in western S.Dak. I still have most of my family there and plan on coming up at Christmas. I always like to get a little junkyarding in where ever I go.
I love the Black Hills, just a little too sold out to the tourists in the summer though. My brother in law has a 53 section grazing lease up at Deerfield and I just love it up there.
