The wife and I are looking into getting a new expedition and was wondering how you like them? we are probably going to get an xlt or an xlt sport because we dont need all the options and leather. Is there any concers or problems with them...recalls and such? i finally got her to look at Ford instead of buying another chevy since her last two were junkers. Her trailblazer makes soo many "normal" noises per the dealership it is rediculous and her malibu was even worse. she wants a tahoe but she really like the expedition we test drove today. this site has helped a bunch with my superduty and thought the owners could give me better info than a salesman. Thanks in advance. Eric
i think it's a great vehicle (as do most people on this forum, i'm sure)...there are actually new posters with similar questions to yours (new buyers with concerns/probs) about once or twice a month, so you might try doing a search. my '97 is awesome, but i don't know much about the new ones...good luck
I've driven both Expeditions and Tahoes. The Expedition has more responsive handling, a much easier to modulate braking system and more usable interior room. The Tahoe feels a little faster.

I purchased one of the first 97 Eddie Baure Expeditions Available and recently traded it with 125K for a 2005 EB Expy. GREAT TRUCk, never let me down.. only routine maintenance plus a couple of coil packs along the way.. only ever replaced brakes, tires, alternator, 2 coilpacks over 125K. Still looked new hated to part withit but wanted a new one.. SUPER vehicle. I have many friends with Tahoos and GMCs. Anything can have problems however they have way more than their share. One of my Friends trailblazer is in the shop at least 2 times a month.. SHE HATES IT! She paid over 50K for it.. I think you would really like the Expy.
thanks for the info. My wifes traile blazer has been in the shop 5 times in the last month with a total time of about 2 and a half weeks. its good to hear that it has been a great vehicle. Thanks again, Eric
