98 Explorer, horn problem...

I've got a 98 XLT and the horn doesn't work. This is probably a really odd-ball question, but could somebody please tell me WHERE the horn is on my vehicle? I've been all over the engine compartment and cannot for the life of me, find the darned horn! The fuses work as I can hear them "click" when I depress the "horn" button on the steering wheel. Any help in this matter would be great as I need my horn to let other drivers know when they are being dumb A$$ES! (only kidding of course)

I think it's up in the fender well. Just cause the relay clicks doesn't mean the fuses are all good. It probably has a different fuse to supply power through the relay to the horn than the one that engages the relay. I'd check all the fuses first.

I think that the horn fuse is also in the power distribution box under the hood and not on the inside panel.

Yours might be different, but the wiring diagram for a 97 shows fuse 4 is wired to the horn relay. The other side of the relay is wired to the horn switch & to a splice for the 2 horns.

If yours is wired the same it sounds like an open in the wire between the relay & the splice.
