Divorced Doubler in a Highboy
Hi all, I have some doubler questions for you. I have a 76 Highboy, C6 and a divorced fulltime transfer case. I want to use a married 205 and use the 203 that i have already for the doubler. once the two are connected I want to keep the pair divorced that way all I have to do is shorten the driveline between the tranny and t/c. My questions: is there any difference in the 203 divorced and married t/c's besides where it mounts to the tranny? Also, will I be able to use the same crossmember and bracing that I already have on the stock 203 for the doubled 205? I also want to twinstick the 205, see any problems there?

i think you may have it somewhat backwards... although it should work it won't be the strongest! usually the 203 range box goes between the 205 and tranny. no you won't be able to use your factory crossmembers

Yeah, you meant what i knew. was having trouble trying to put in writing what was in my head. i want to replace my stock 203 with the stock 203 gearset mated to the newer style married 205. I want to position the doubler setup in the same position as the stock 203 is now so i will only have to cut the smaller driveline between the tranny and the doubler. this is why I also wanted to use the stock crossmember and bracing.
