Hi all
I have a 95 Explorer and the power steering sounds like it is going out. It doesn't seem like a hard fix but I would like to know if there is anything special like bleeding the system, that needs to beone or a certain tool needed. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
You will need a puller to pull the pulley off. Most parts stores carry for about $30. Some stores will lend it to you as well. Make sure you get one for a Ford and you tell them its for the PS pump. Other than that, no big deal.

Do not use a gear puller to remove the pulley. You will break it and then have to buy a new pulley (I will let you guess at how I know this). There is a little nub at the front of the pulley thet the pulley removal tool fits over. If this is not clear when you go to do the work, post your questions here before moving forward. Upside to this is that if you do break the pulley it costs less than $15.00 for a new one but it may be difficult to locate one same day.
