When I push the power door lock switch I can hear the motor click and can see some movement at the locking mechanism at the top of the door. It is almost as if there is not enough power in the motor to push up the latch. Also, when I turn the key in the lock it is hard to turn and I have to play with the key in order to get the lock to unlock. I tried to get out the latch to examine the celenoid/ acuator or whatever is in there but I was unable to due to the metal wire connections connected from both the door handle and the lock itself. Any ideas or help would be appreciated.
Regarding the key being hard to turn in the lock cylinder, get some teflon DRY LUBE spray and give it a few squirts inside the cylinder, work the key back and forth, it should help clear up the stickiness.
It sounds like the actuator is getting power, so maybe the door lock cylinder rod (the metal wire connecting the actuator to the door lock) is getting bound up somehow. Might even be same thing that's causing the key to turn harder than necessary in the door lock cylinder. If you can get at it, also try spraying some lube on the lever located on the back of the door lock cylinder (requires taking off the interior door panel and removing the white dust shield).
