If you jump power to the second terminal marked "I" and jump power to the coil you may get it. Don't leave the power on the coil long. It kind of depends on how burnt up and shorted the wiring is.
I'm Going To Try A Few Things Today I Bought Two Fusible Links Last Night At The Parts Store A 16ga & A 14ga There The Kind With The Open Eye Types That Mount On The Starter Relay If You Have Anymore Ideas I'm All Ears
alright i can turn the ignition switch an nothing happens i replaced one of the fusible links and still nothing but i can cross out the starter relay and the starter will turn what else could it possibly be
Did you check to make sure you have power at the I terminal of the solenoid when the key is in the run position? Did you check all your fuses in the fuse panel?

I am assuming this is a 70'ish truck? Do you have a testlight? If you can get one, or a meter, I would be curious if you have any power at all in the fuse box? Depending on what year it is, most Fords have large yellow wires feeding the ignition switch. These same wires should be out where you were fixing fusible links(out near the starter relay). If they are not yellow, you still should be able to match the colors out by the starter relay with a colored wire at the ignition switch. Do you have power on this wire at the ignition switch. This feeds the whole she-bang.
1988 Ford Ranger 2.3L, discharges battery overnight. Replaced orig. battery with new, still discharges overnight. Installed newly charged battery, recorded voltage via DVM(some 12ish volts), start engine then rev motor, gets additional 2-3volts. Removed + terminal of the battery (engine still running), wiper ran crazy/uncontrollably. Installed back + term. it stopped.
If it is discharging overnight you must have a short somewhere. With the motor off and the key in the off position hook a meter up inbetween your Pos cable and the Pos battery cable. If you are showing alot of voltage pull fuses to find what circuit is draining your battery. Bear in mind that the clock will draw a small amount of voltage.
disconnecting the Pos cable when the vehicle is running is not a good idea, you can throw a voltage spike into computer controlled pieces that cannot take it.
