I have a AOD tranny and well it's over filled by a Qt. or so. would that hurt it? Would that give it more oil psi? the tranny is going. it sometimes bucks when i let off the gas and also slams down out of OD when passing a car also used to leak at the tail end and bogs down sometimes when going in to OD.

I've heard that overfilling is not good, not sure exactly why...
Your TV cable may be out of adjustment, which could cause the other things you mentioned.

 

I ran one a quart over for about six months. You take a chance of causing a leaky seal. I don't think it will change the psi. Check and see if you have any vacuum lines to the trans that might be off or loose. I don't know what year you have. Good luck.
