have a ford 150, 1992 vintage and it is an in line 4.9l six cyl. it starts, but as soon as you apply the gas pedal, it dies dead....i checked all connections and plugs and they seem to be all there...i removed the air filter and tried it again and it starts up as long as i don't give it any gas...if i just start it as i do regularly it starts up and if gas is applied, it just cuts out...i have had no maint. problems in the 90k miles i have had it and this is the first...it happened all at once, i did not have any warnings and it was running just fine which makes me think it must be electrical in nature...some valve is not operating or something...any ideas?
