I'd look for a '95 instead. The '96's are EEC-V and are very different than the EEC-IV in the '92's. I don't know if you would find a MAF 351 in '95, but a MAF 302 computer would work just fine since the mass of the air is calculated, the fuel would still be calibrated correctly regardless of engine size. Just make sure it is a truck with an E4OD. This is probably the easiest way to get MAF on a truck with the E4OD.
thanks for the info, i will check the junk yards. i am not ready to upgrade my daily driver yet. just doing reaserch for now my garage is already full i've got a '47,'52,'69 in there right now the '47 and '69 are my dads, the '52 is mine.
there are a few compaines that make the kits they will be the best route to go. they will have everything needed and most important instructions. interactive systems makes them for the fseries if there still in busniess. the mass air meter you use must be calibrated for your current injector size. probally 19lb hr but check if you get a donor! its really simple all you need is the maf meter,ecm and make a few changes to the pin connector. oh and the 4 wire harnese for the meter. but you will need some instructions maybe you can find a set on ebay.

It's not quite that simple for a truck with E4OD. Well, if you buy a kit it is, but the kits for the E4OD are nearly 1000 bucks, and on top of that you have to buy a computer. You also have to run two computers, one to control the transmission and one to control the engine, which would be difficult without a kit and a new wiring harness. A donor truck would be by far the cheapest way for a MAF conversion. If it were a different transmission, then by all means, the kit would be the way to go.
