I have a 94 Bronco 5.0, I went out and it only spins over , I noticed that I don't hear the fuel pump run for the short time it usually does, I looked the my Haynes book and did a jump on the DLC connector, but I could'nt hear the feul pump run, I could hear a clicking type noise coming from the relays near the Fuel Rail, I checked the Inertia switch, I popped the button up and pushed it back down, and then turned the key on but the Fuel pump was still silent, I pulled the plug off the Inertia switch and tested them with ny test light, and the wires dead, I read there a fuel pump relay, could it be this and were is it. Joe
Well for some reason it started after monkeying around with it, I was jumping the dlc plug I heard the fuel pump run and it started up, It must be a relay going bad or something, I change a relay in the fuse panel under the hood but it did.nt help. they sure made things hard to fix with all these sensors and relays, use to be if it was'nt the Carb it was the Fuel pump in the old days. Thanks Joe
Once again my truck won't start, when I jump the DLC plug I can hear the relay clicking but the fuel pumps not running, is there a way to find the problem, I have an extended warranty, but they may only cover the fuel pump, I would like to jump the fuel pemp from the enertia switch wires, can anyone help me on this. Joe
Well I tested the wires going to the Fuel pump at the plug at the tank, and it had power, I even tryed to jump the fuel pump with a hot wire from the battery, but I could'nt get the pump tp work, so I checked around and a new pump it was 135.00 plus a few more bucks for fuel filter , so I decided since its covered under my extended warranty I would persevere the wait to get my truck done in the shop for little or no $$$$, I put the charger on it for a few hours, and I tryed it and I heard the pump kick in when I turned the key on, and it started right up, either my Bronco does'nt want to be outside or the fuel pump needs replacing before it lets me down somewhere like on the beach while fishing. at least I can drive it to the shop now.
