Trailer Tamper Alert false alarms
This is the second trip now I have had to tolerate this. Drive all day, stop overnight at the hotel, get settled into the room, and off in the distance I hear "honk - honk - honk" on and on. Look out the window and see it is MY TRUCK! Run down three flights of stairs and out the door, press the button on the remote to stop the alarm, look all around the truck - nothing. Go back to the room, no more than get in and the alarm goes off again! Do this twice more, and on the third time the alarm goes off before I even get inside, so I can see that no one is messing with the truck. Come to find out that the Trailer Tamper Alert is so sensitive that a moisture change from the humidity is enough to trigger the alarm. Only solution is to disconnect the trailer pigtail. Well, that's dumb. And yesterday it went off multiple times while having lunch! This is worse than useless. I can find nothing in the menu to either adjust the sensitivity or to turn it off. I'm taking it to the dealership in the morning, but has anyone else experienced this? I did a search and found nothing in the forum about it.
