Looking to change from street tires to All Terrain tires. Currently running 15x8 wheels in front and 15x10 in rear. Has had 235/70/15 on the front and 255/70/15 on the rear for years that worked well but were street tires. (currently have 205's in the front temporarily as in photo) was leaning towards Toyo Open Country AT3. Was trying to decide between the 265/75/15 or 30x9.5 15 or 31x10.5 15. Could I run the same size front and rear or should I get smaller tires for the front 15x8's ? Thanks for any advice.
I have 31.5 x 10.5 x 15 on all 4 corners on my 69 and it's about as big as you can get up front with rubbing when you turn the wheel. I would not go any larger unless you lifted the front.
Thanks for the advice. What size are your rims and what brand are the tires. I wonder if the 31x10.5's on the back and the 30x9.5's on the front would be a good combo so the fronts dont rub ? How bad is the front rubbing ?
I have 1994 Ford XLT rims, they are 15x8. I started off that same way, with smaller 30 x 9.5 x 15 on the front. I personally didn't like it and as soon as I got the chance, took the smaller fronts off and moved up to the same size as the rears. It doesn't rub, but if you turn the wheel like 45 degrees, you can fit your finger between the tread of the tire and the front lip of the fender. Seems close but it has never touched. My tires are Cooper Discoverer AT3.
Those look good. I want to be able to hit semi-rough dirt roads while driving slowly in the mountains and other off road camping areas, do they rub when you are bouncing up and down on dirt roads. I wonder if the 30 x 10.5 x 15 would eliminate the rubbing on the front and still look decent ? Thanks For Everyones Advice.
My 31's have never rubbed, thank goodness. Stock suspension height, but I do want to go with a 1.5" lift from Jeff's Bronco Graveyard in the future, just to make the front & rear more even with each other.

Negative. No rubbing when going down rough/dirt roads.
