I want to do the electronic distributor upgrade at some point, but for right now I have standard points.
What's the best Spark Plugs, Plug Wires, Distributor Cap/Rotor?
Thanks.
Any of the major auto parts stores, like NAPA will have good parts. Get this higher price level such as Echlin at NAPA. Get your points from Motorcraft or your Ford dealer as they are made in the USA. Or get Standard "Blue Streak" points as they are also made in the US. This is from the Ford 9/2/8N/Jubilee+ tractor guys who deal with points often.
All Motorcraft
They used to make tune up kits in a can
I got one for my 1970 429 engine
They came in a can with points, condenser and plugs
They also made / sold those tune up kits in blisterpack
Get one of these for yours NOS on Ebay
Shop around after you find the part number for your 390
You didn't list a year or model, but those Ford kits are out there
I only paid about 29 for mine total
There was a Motorcraft Jobber nearby and I could get them at the blue sheet price.
Those kits were great and I bought them by the case.
A real collectors item now.
