Looking for Part # - Shift Cable Thumbwheel Bracket
I don't know if this exists as a separate part or if I have to buy it as part of the shifter cable. I looked under my steering wheel to adjust a misaligned needle on the dash. I found the thumbwheel bracket broken. I've been trying to search for a part number but can't locate one. Any leads on where to look would be greatly appreciated. I slipped it off the threads of the cable and took a picture for reference. Off a 2004 6.0 Excursion. Thanks for reading!
I was able to take the picture of the whole assembly with me to the parts store. They didn't carry the whole selector unit, but the guy behind the counter has a Ranger and knew exactly what I was after. Had it in stock, and now I'm back in business with a shifter that moves and works correctly.
Thanks to everyone for sharing the metal option. I'm for sure going to pick one of these up and stick it with the rest of the spare parts when one of the plastic ones fail.
