Transmission strangeness last 2 times towing, Mike's 5 Star at the root?
Did a turn and burn, Memphis to Bristol and back. Coming thru Nashville, loaded, the truck will barely continue to move regardless of throttle. Pull off, check fluid, a little low, add maybe 1/3 quart. We are able to continue. This past weekend. Memphis to Little Rock to Enid MS. Loaded from LR to Enid. Unload in Enid, forgot to switch back to 87 Performance after getting the car off the trailer. I dont put the 87 tow tune in when pulling the empty trailer (16' dove). Truck starts doing the exact same thing, barely wants to move throttle be damned. Trans temp never showed high on either of these times. First chance to stop was 5-6 miles at a gas station. This time fluid was not low at all. Switched to 87 Performance tune, issue went away. Is whatever the tow tune does an indication my trans is possibly on its way out. No other issues trans wise. 236K on trans, I've put 85K of those on it. Had front seal replace back in '17 and put in a more towing friendly tc. Just weird how this past weekend the issue went away with the tune swap.
