1977 Ford F-250 Supercab with a built 460 and rebuilt C6 by previous owner. Vehicle has 2,000 miles on the rebuild of which I have put 1,600 miles. The transmission is slipping on shift from 2nd to 3rd. It started out very minimal like a flare and only once in a while. Now it is just about every time. I can still drive it as long as I let off or apply light pressure to gas pedal around the 2-3 shift speed 30mph. This is my sons daily driver and would love to be able to fix it or diagnose it in our garage.
I have no clue where to start to trouble shoot. I have searched all over online, youtube, this forum and can't find help. Here is what I know so far:
Fluid level is good.
Modulator doesn't leak fluid when I disconnect vacuum line
I tried adjusting the band and it didn't do anything
Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
