clutch compatibility
I bought a 300 inline 6 but not 100% sure of what it came out of. I need to replace the 10" clutch that came with it. Are all 10" clutches / pressure plates for the ford 300 interchangeable?

I looked in RockAuto's catalogs for the clutch kits for the engine of various years. Apparently there was a change between 1982 and 1983 in the pressure plate. I have no idea what it is, or what are the differences, but every manufacturer list different parts for those years.

After going through many posts I think Ill be ok with using the flywheel from the engine im replacing, I know that a 1979 11" will bolt to it. It seems the only difference though the years for the 300 flywheels are the pressure plate bolt hole locations. Some aftermarket flywheels are drilled for both 10" and 11".
