Has anyone had the experience of having a 2015 Transit that has one million miles on it and the odometer stops registering any more miles. Is the absolute limit for the odometer is 1 million miles And if so--how does one correct this?
Yes--but is there any other way that will show true and total miles? Is 1 million miles the limit for the odometer? And will the ECM accept a new odometer without software change ?
I don't know the limits if the odometer. Based on your experience it seems to be 1 million miles.
If the replacement IPC (cluster) is from the same model and trim level it is most likely plug n play. If there are problems Forscan can easily load the configuration from the old IPC into the new one. You will be stuck with the starting mileage but can increase it using Forscan.
this was discussed about 10 years ago with the econoline series by a shuttle service owner that was putting 2000 miles per week on his vans that ran 24/7. the odometer stops recording at 1 million.
but you can sent it back to ford and they will reset it back to zero or however many miles you estimate are on it.
