excessive smoke after injector swap E99 7.3
Here's what's happening: when cold, the engine is hard to start taking usually 10 seconds before starting, but it always starts but once started it idles good but smoking white smoke like crazy at idle and at low rpm. I can't see the smoke at highway speeds but when i come to a stop, it's smoking bad again. I've driven it about 50 miles to bleed off residual oil but it doesn't change the smoking. it smokes in all the tunes equally bad. when I go hard on the throttle it pours our black smoke but goes back to white smoke at idle. I'm sure it is unburnt fuel. Unlike most of the threads I've read with this problem, the truck idles and runs really good, with good EGT (400-600) and good fuel pressure (68-70psi). I checked the charge pipes and boots and all seem good. However, I'm not getting any turbo boost on my gauge at any throttle position. It's a new gauge and the t is in the between the MAP and ypipe. My forscan is not showing any codes at all. But I do have a lot of blowby. I spoke to FFD tech and he said most likely the problem was one or more of my injectors did not get seated properly and I should take the valve covers off and unplug each injector until the smoking stops and there's the problem. I'm reluctant to do this as I checked and double checked everything when installing the injectors. I thought I would ask the forum if there are any other suggestions first. Would a turbo or turbo piping problem be causing this? Bad MAP sensor? Turbo boost sensor? something else? Many many thx for any help!!
