460 engine stands
What engine stands do i need to put a 460 in a 79 f250 4x4 with a 351M? I know these trucks came with a 460, but very scarce in junkyards in this area. 460 engine is in a 86 f250. Thanks

460 was not available with a manual trans or 4WD until 1983, and these F250/350's thru 1997 used a hydraulic clutch.

Like ND said, there is no OEM parts solution for this swap. And as 440 said, there are aftermarket swap mounts. This is what I bought.....

As reported…. you won’t find factory 460 mounts because they weren’t installed in 4wd until later. However, your trans and the frame mounts are the ones that you need. Order a set of 460 swap insulators, aka rubber mounts. Google is really gonna be your friend on this one, a very popular swap that’s been around since the 429/460 was born.

I ordered jeffs bronco graveyard HD mounts for the conversion, be here Tuesday. I'll let you know how they work out

Thanks guys for the responses. Yes, the 86 is a f250 4x4 4speed. Not sure of direction i will go. Really want to do up the 79 because of dana 60/411/ limited slip, but the 86 in much better shape, ac all intact, etc. Got a ways to go before i have to decide.
