It a 2wd .330k miles runs good. All.8 cylinders.are hitting. Has plenty of power. Another weird thing is after taking it for a spin it wont start again. Its like batteries are dead.starter turns engine over slow. After it cools down starter spins emgine over quickly. Any ideas?
Heavy smoke sounds like an airflow problem and comes with excessive heat. Do you have an EGT gauge? 99 would have the starter relay on the fender. You can apply power to that small lug or jump across the large lugs and see what you get. Cleaning connections won't hurt either.
It doesnt smoke at idle when first started but after taking it for a ride and pulking back in driveway at idle it smokes for a few minutes. Maybe its coolant in oil pan. I forgot i did injector cup on it and forgot to drain coolant out.when i pulled cup coolant flooded out everywhere on top of heads and through exhaust . i better change oil and see whats up. I was doing blowby test and weird smell and water vapor on cap. .
Im getting old i forget nowaday. Ill post some videos after i change oil. Hopefully by next weekend. I lnow im a knuckle head

I made links public. I dont know how to post them here like you do to embed them.
It’s not you. The site does weird things with links. Sometimes they hyperlink automatically and other times you have to force it. Sometimes it will actually embed the YouTube viewer right in the thread which I think happens when you use the “share” feature directly from YouTube. I couldn’t do that before since they were private. I’ll go back and change the hyperlink using this manner and see if it embeds directly.
The workaround I use when it doesn’t add a clickable link is to go in and edit the link manually with this button. Just watch as the beginning of the link (https://) needs removed when doing this.
Edit to add: using the YouTube “share button” to copy the link instead of the address line changed it from just a link to an actual embedded video.
