Coolant Bubbling

I just got a 13 f250 6.7 and have been going through everything to make sure everything is in good working order. I have noticed when I run my truck and shut it off I can hear and feel bubbling in the top coolant hose. I don't see anything in the recovery tank but it lasts for a few minutes and it's done. It's not running hot and I'm not having to add coolant. Is this normal for a 6.7? I had a 5.9 cummins before this and this motor is way more complicated than that one. Thanks in advance.

I think you mean you don't see bubbling, but just asking, you do see the AF is between the min/max lines on the tank? If not it is low.

correct I don't see bubbling. The fluid is actually probably over filled. The tank is about 3/4 full at operating temperature. The only fill lines I see are the cold fill lines that give you a small range. I'll probably drain some out.

check it after a cold soak for the proper level in the degas bottle.
Replace the degas cap.

Agree with cap recommendation

i would also by a coolant hydrometer and measure the water/coolant mix ratio. .

check the degas tank for evidence of fuel or oil.

it appears to be 100% coolant and no water. I'll probably drain some out and mix with distilled water.
