Worked on plenty of 6.0 and this is the first 6.7 I've ever saw under the hood, with that being said what is the chances that this thing needs a high pressure fuel pump?
I can't help diagnose your issue but that code has a bunch of failure possibilities. I think I would start with replacing fuel filters and while doing so look for metal shavings in the frame mounted filter. If you have a bunch of shavings then it's likely the HPFP is shot (and the entire fuel system) but I would rule out all the other possibilities first.
First thing I did was change the FF with ford filters. Had some crap come out looked like alge. Not much thou. Came from another shop that gave them a quote of 6k and I was recommended to this guy by a guy that I fixed his 6.4. After looking into it, it may just be the sensor but I want to give him all the possibility from it before I dig into it. It's just a part time job that's turning into a full time job. I'd rather be bass fishing now that I'm retired
Thought I would let y'all know what up with this truck. The HPFP is toast, customer is going to be shelling out about 7k with Ford parts. There has to be an alternative to these pumps as I think Ford really short change the 6.7. It truly is a beast of a engine.
