I have a heavy duty slide in truck camper on my 79 250. I broke a shackle on the leaf spring a few weeks ago going down a bad road. Outside of upgrading the leaf springs, what else can I do to make this truck handle the weight of the camper better? Its a flatbed. Thanks
What is not mentioned reference to turnbuckles...I highly recommend installing turnbuckles that are only spring loaded to give that cushion or else potentially rip out the mounting brackets or anchors from your camper.
