I've noticed since I have a OBDlink MX+ plugged in to monitor PIDs, I have not seen a message about exhaust cleaning on the message center. And I have had a Regen since I started monitoring.
Anyone here monitoring with a OBDLink plugged in and still get messages on the dash display? I haven't yet.
the regen message when displayed is a very short duration with or without something plugged into port. I suspect the message is flashed and you missed it. If you can turn on the exhaust filter screen in the IPC, you will know when the truck is about to regen and you can watch for the message.
Also, as long as the truck regens and completes the regen, i would not worry about seeing the message.
FYI, I had an Edge CTS2 and an OBDLink/MX plugged into my truck via a "Y" cable and would see the message when I was paying attention to the IPC when the truck would regen.
