Installed new Airaid intake on 6.0
I installed an AIRAID intake box and filter on my 03 X with the 6.0. I love it. No more high $$ air filter. I am getting 22 MPG now, 20 MPG before the new air filter. I only have 6000 miles on my X now.Greg

With a little "tweaking" your V-10 should give you some decent mileage (14-16 if you're lucky) without the sacrifice of power. How long has it been since you've run a fuel injector cleaner through your V-10? Some other things that can (and probably will) help are new or better spark plugs. Sure they may be expensive, but it creates a better burn. Therefore, you get better fuel economy. Another thing is an intake kit from Airaid or AFE. These are just a few suggestions. You may say: "Why is a Powerstroke owner giving advice to a V-10 owner? This is so condescending." As far as I'm concerned, we're all Big Rigs here. The only difference is that we chose a different engine to power our rig.
