I have a 2000 Ford F250 4x4 7.3 diesel with a 4 inch exhaust a edge evolution programmer and a Airaid intake system! I own and work on a ranch and there is always a ton of dust everywhere i always got to clean my airaid filter all the time! what i am want to know is which flows more air the ais or the airaid i got now? also which one will produce lower egt and give me more power!
I don't know about airbench numbers, but the AIS is gov't approved for severe duty on the military powerstrokes.
I have one installed on my truck and it's the best filter I have ever seen in my life.
The filtering media alone takes up nearly as much room as a basketball, and the air intake goes up to the front of the truck, which is usually upstream of the dust clouds billowing up from your tires.
I am pretty sure the severe duty filter will give cleaner air to the engine but what i am worried about is when i turn my programmer to the highest setting 100 horses 200 torque i am afraid that the egt will climb way faster than the air aid system i got now
