1997 5.8 sd to maf conversation
the truck is a 1997 5.8 f250, e4od trans,
Through my research I think I’ve decided the best way to convert to maf is to add the maf intake and sensor then get a 1996 5.0 computer to plug into the 5.8 harness (will the 5.0 computer plug directly into the 6.8 harness?) and then add the wires to power and read the maf sensor
Will this work? Does anyone have any better ideas?

A 1996 MAF 5L PCM will be OBD-II. It will not plug into your harness.
